Need: Chicken BBQ Sauce Onion Green Pepper Garlic Powder Sea Salt Mesquite Seasoning | Season up your chicken both sides with Garlic powder, salt and mesquite. Heat your pot on medium high heat with olive oil. Add the seasoned chicken in and brown both sides. Turn burner down to medium low. Add in water to cover the bottom with a thin layer. For my bbq I used the new Open Pit Apple Whiskey. (It tastes amazing by the way). Cover and let simmer for a couple hours. About every 20 minutes or so come move your chicken around in the pan my picking it up and lightly swirling it in circles. After 1 hour of cooking add in your onions, and 30 minutes after that add in the green pepper. |
