My fiance loves deep fried foods. I had only the one turkey leg so I decided to deep fry it for him. I don't have a very big deep fryer, so I figured it would be best if I cooked it most the way through in the oven first. I let it cool before I tried to handle it. I made a thicker batter using flour, water, 1.5 tbs melted butter, onion and garlic powder and spicy montreal seasoning. When it had cooled I covered it in the batter and heated my fryer. I cooked up til it was golden brown. Took longer than it should have because I had to turn it (slightly too big for my fryer). It all worked out though, and it was delicious. |
