It was pretty hot out the other day and I decided that chocolate shakes would be a great idea. I used regular vanilla ice cream, one chocolate pudding pack, milk, and chocolate syrup. I add in scoops of ice cream til it was just about to the top then I just started pouring in the chocolate syrup until the top was nice and covered. Then I added in a pudding pack for that extra creaminess. I didn't want to add too much milk so I slowly added it in. You can always add more, but you can't take it back out. I left it at a thicker consistency. They really did taste pretty close to a Frosty. I was very satisfied. (Wasn't what I was going for, but it worked out.) Maybe next time I'll try to recreate the jamocha shake. YUMMY!!!! |
I used a package of Strawberries and minced up a few sprigs of mint about 2tbs sugar, 1 tbs cinnamon and about a 1/2 tbs honey. Combine in s saucepan over med/low heat. Simmer/ Boil about 15 minutes. Remove from heat. I topped my shortcakes with Strawberry sauce and my homemade whipped cream. Then sprinkle cinnamon on top.
This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. For this I used a ready made graham cracker crust. I started by covering the bottom of the crust with mini chocolate chips. Then I topped that with some cheesecake filling. I filled the crust about half way maybe a little more. I then sprinkled cinnamon on top. In a microwave safe bowl I sliced up strawberries, added about a tablespoon of sugar and chocolate chips. I microwaved it covered in 30 second intervals stirring in between. I let it cool a bit, then added some cheesecake filling. Then topped the pie with it. I made my own whip cream with heavy whipping cream, sugar and cinnamon. Let it sit in the fridge to cool and thicken up. |
