For this I used a cube steak and cooked it up just like you normally would. I seasoned up the meat with onion and garlic powder and some Applewood rub. I then scrambled up a couple eggs in a bowl with salt and pepper. I made my flour mix with the same seasonings that I used to season the meat. I dipped the steaks first into the egg and then into the flour mix and then repeat. When its gone through the 2 coats of batter, add it to a pan with a thin layer of hot oil. Fry then up til they are golden brown on both sides. Set them on a plate with paper towel to absorb the extra grease. Let them sit for a few while you make the gravy. I try to always have bacon grease around to add into my gravies. Turn your heat to low, depending on how much grease you have add some cornstarch and mix it all in. When it starts to thicken slowly add milk until it is a good consistency. Gravy is all on preference, some like a thicker gravy while some prefer the thinner one. If you need to season with a lil salt and pepper to taste. When the gravy is ready cut up some onion ( I used red onion because it is my favorite onion.) Butter one side of 2 pieces of bread and layer your sandwich ( I used my George Foreman Grill, but you can use a clean pan.)
I used a roast for this. I cut it up into chunks and cooked to about medium rare. I sliced it into thin pieces. I used an Italian loaf and sliced it into about 1.5 inch pieces. I buttered the outsides of the bread and layered the steak, slices of cheddar cheese, sauteed green pepper and onion, and spinach. I used our George Foreman Grill to cook them up. About 4 minutes and they were ready This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Brown up some ground beef in a skillet. I seasoned it up with some diced onions, pepper, sea salt, Applewood Rub, and a small amount of paprika. When it is all cooked; drain. Add enough ketchup so all meat is covered nicely but its not runny. Then add the bbq of your choice. I went with a honey bbq because its my favorite. Let it cook up and thicken up a bit. Add shredded cheese to the bottom on a hot dog bun, add some of the meat in and top with cheese and diced onion. This is your new blog post. I started with some frozen corn added some butter and honey to it and the some seasonings. I let it cook up then I put it in a food processor. I put it back in the pan and added a small amount of milk and cornstarch so it was like a paste. While the corn was still cooking I started my steaks. Use seasonings of your own choice. I wanted a spicy so I went with Spicy Montreal. While my steaks were resting I cooked up some 3 Cheese garlic bread. When my steaks were ready I sliced them up thin. I spread and even layer of the corn mix on each piece of garlic bread. I took 2-3 slices of steak per piece of bread. Add some spinach in the middle and your good to go. This was a hit with my fiance. |
