Homemade meatballs are so simple and easy to do. I never use frozen. I used 2lbs. ground beef this time. I made one try of big and a tray of small. I used chopped onion, garlic powder, pepper, sea salt, McCormick Perfect Pinch Tuscan, and some grated Parmesan. I don't really measure really I just add in what looks to be a good mix with the amount of meat I have. I cook them in the oven at 350, until they are browned. Meanwhile I add 2-3 cans of tomato soup in a pan. Add a can of diced tomatoes along with some chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. When it comes to adding spices do less then what you think it needs because you can always add more but you can't take it back. Cook on low. When the meatballs are ready add them into the sauce. Cover and simmer for 1-2 hours so that sauce can penetrate the meatball. Serve over your choice of noodle. I used Mostaccioli. |
