Ingredients: Chicken thighs Small Onion Soy or Worcestershire Sauce Water Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning Salt && Pepper to taste For the side dish on this one I just used a can of corn and a can of green beans. I added a little bit of Olive Oil into a saute pan. I added the drained cans of veggies into the hot pan. I seasoned with some basil, salt and pepper. I let it all fry up until it was slightly browned and heated through. A nice sauteed veggie goes great with the soft delicate texture of the braised meat. | I kept it simple for this recipe. It was a busy day and I just wanted to kind of set it and forget it (sorta). I loved braised meats got to be one of my favorite new ways to cook meats. Season up your meat with some of rotisserie seasoning and lightly salt and pepper. You want to use a stock pot for this. Turn up your heat a little above medium. Add a little bit of Olive Oil. When the pan is nice and hot add your seasoned chicken to the pan and sear both sides. Turn down the heat to medium low or lower. Add a nice layer of your Worcestershire to cover the bottom of the pan and then add enough water to almost cover the chicken. Add your sliced onions to the top and then cover. Try not to lift the lid too much you just want to cook it until most of the water is absorbed. You don't want it too cook down too quickly if it does you will need to turn down your heat. I let mine cook for about 5-6 hours. If you want 2-3 hours would be fine too, but towards the end you will want to turn up the heat slightly. |
